Super Newbie!!!
Hello people i am harry.
I will explain what i mean by super newbie. the only bike experance that i had ever had was on the back of a deucati monster about 3 yrs ago. that was untill monday last week when i completed my cbt at the academy. next week i have got another load of training lined up hoping to pass my test on firday. with good reason aswell!!
i am in the army recently back from afghan with a wedge of money. So i did the sensible thing and put it all into savings(yea Whatever!!). I went out and bought myself a brand new triumph daytona 675 along with all my leathers and kit.
that is why the pressure is on for daren and me to make sure that i am up to test standard by friday.
looking forward to my next weeks training. if any of you guys can give me any simple tips to help me get started on the 675 (there a bit different to the gs500)
cheers
harry

Super Newbie!!!
Hi Harry
Welcome to the madness here on the forum!
As far as tips go, one I can suggest you NOT to do is...
- Test ride your new bike for the 1st time,
- In the rain,
- Down at Thruxton,
- With a crowd (thanks Darren, Phil, The Rickster and other onlookers!),
- Dropping it,
- And damaging the bike in the process - as well as not being able to pick the thing up cos it's so damn heavy!
Did we laugh?!?! No actually I didn't!
So, like I said, one for you not to do.
Good Luck for Friday mate, though you'll probably not need it if Darren is your Commanding Officer ;=)

Re: Super Newbie!!!
Cheers for the top tip.
you were right. i had no worrys with my test this morning. daren put his faith in me and booked my mod 2 right after my mod 1 so i had a fair bit of pressure. anyway job done!!
now i have been let loose on the roads alone, so watch out!!
the only down side to the day is the fact i rushed home this afternoon but got to the bike shop to late so i will have to wait till tomorrow to pick up the daytona.
at least i have a good excuse to celebrate tonight
